The Challenge
A Vaughan bar and lounge underwent a full interior renovation to reposition itself as a premium cocktail destination. The new design concept called for a mix of high-top bar seating, lounge chairs, and a patio section — three distinct seating zones, each requiring different furniture styles that still felt cohesive. The owner wanted a high-end look without a high-end budget, and previous searches online had turned up mostly residential furniture that wouldn’t hold up to nightly commercial use. A specific pain point: bar stools that wobble after a few months due to inferior welding and footrest construction.
The Solution
ForRestaurants provided a curated three-zone furniture package. For the bar area, we supplied heavy-duty steel swivel bar stools in a matte black finish with upholstered seats in a deep charcoal vinyl — commercial-grade welding with reinforced footrests rated for years of nightly use. The lounge zone received low-profile tub chairs with arms and dark fabric upholstery, arranged around solid round tables with brushed brass legs. The patio zone was outfitted with powder-coated aluminum stack chairs and lightweight resin-top tables — weather-resistant and stackable for winter storage.
ForRestaurants’ design team visited the space before the order was finalized to verify sightlines, spacing, and flow — a service available to GTA-area clients at no extra charge. All three furniture zones were delivered and set up in a single day, the week before reopening.
